On October 6, the Rubin Museum will transition into a global museum model with the closing of its 17th Street galleries. In anticipation of this momentous change, we are excited to offer an immersive program on January 12, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, that explores the transformative wisdom and profound concept of the bardo the Tibetan Buddhist intermediate state between death and rebirth.
Join us for this extraordinary evening, led by Khenpo Tenzin Norgay Rinpoche, Lama Pasang Gurung, and Lama Ugen Rongdrol Palden, in partnership with Tashi Ch?dr?n our Himalayan Programs and Communities Engagement Manager. This program will delve into the rich tradition of bardo teachings through engaging talks, guided meditations, and an opportunity for QA.
The event includes a pre-program tour of the current exhibition Death Is Not the , providing a fascinating preview before it closes on October 6, alongside other immersive experiences like Masterworks and Gateway to Himalayan Art.

The Rubin Museum is located at 150 West 17th Street in New York City with operating hours from Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM until 5 PM.
