The path then splits into two major directions: the Mahayana Great Vehicle and Theravada traditions. While both are rich in their own right with their distinct pantheons, they share common figures like Mtreya, or Future Buddha, whose teachings focus on loving kindness and the cultivation of compassion as a means to reach enlightenment.

Among these, one figure stands out for his profound influence across all paths: Manjusri. Known as the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, he carries an immense sword in his handa symbol of his ability to cut through ignorance with knowledgewhile also being depicted as holding the wisdom jewel, representing the ultimate truth and insight.

As we continue on this journey through the realm of Buddhist Bodhisattvas, each step brings us closer to understanding the depth and diversity within these figures. Each has a unique story, embodying different aspects of compassion, wisdom, strength, and more, guiding followers toward enlightenment in their own distinctive ways.
